Round 1 Starting

 Round 1 pairings will be posted around Tuesday, January 12, 1900 server time. 

Playoff format will be posted soon. In the meantime, good luck with round 1!

The following letter was sent to many captains, and for some captains and deputy captains I do not have your email addresses. Would you be so kind to help communication by providing them? Thanks!

Here are some basic guidelines for the start of TL41.

Please check into the homepage periodically for information update.

Individual pairings are posted on Tuesday’s approximately1900 server time.

Captains should submit lineups using the captain page on www.teamleague.org OR the bot commands before that deadline.

If captains do not submit a lineup by the deadline, the default lineup will be used, which is normally the top four boards. Captains may change the default lineups just as any other lineup except by using round 0.

After individual pairings are posted on Tuesday, lineups cannot be changed.

Once pairings are listed, players need to go to their game forums to begin negotiations for game date/time.

Players should make first contact with date/time offers by Thursday, 1900 server time. Failure to do so allows opponents to insist that one of their date/time offers be accepted.

If players fail to respond by second deadline at Friday, 1900, opponents may either claim forfeit or renegotiate.

Remind players to

•  offer at least three times, preferably covering over two days.

•  offer game dates/times ONLY in game forum, not with tells or messages.

•  set date/time in game forum ONLY after both players agree when to play.

•  set noescape and private to 0, and turn off kibitz when playing teamleague games.

•  start games with “tell teamleague play” command

•  complete game within seven days of Tuesday pairings.

If your player does not respond by deadlines or misses game, please have them post explanation in game forum.

Encourage and assist, as needed, your team members with answering questions. Help maintain courtesy. Contact the section TD should questions arise.
