Round 7 and the Playoffs

The final regular season round is nearly upon us, and for a fortunate few, the playoffs lie beyond!

All players should note that there are no extensions  for round 7: all games must be completed by 19:00 on Tuesday, September 24th.

Extensions are permitted as normal for the playoff round (nominally round 8). The top two teams in each section will playoff to determine a section champion. In case this match is tied 2-2, the team with the better regular season record will be declared the champions.

For deciding the final (pre-playoff) standings, the following formula is used. Match points (MP) score first, followed by game points (GP). These can be seen on the standings page. If two or more teams are tied on both MPs and GPs, the following tiebreakers are used (and note that the standings page does not reflect these): first, the head-to-head results between the teams; if the head-to-head match was a 2-2 tie, then the team accruing the fewest forfeits progresses; if even those are tied, then board 4 results are removed and the head-to-head match is recalculated (and if still tied, then board 3 is removed, etc).
