It was supposed to be a periodic newsletter, however, it became apparent that two people (League Historian HotDonut and myself), who are involved in a lot of other projects, can't manage to do that much on a regular basis. Instead, we decided to publish our materials "when they are done". Hence instead of a newsletter, we are gonna make TeamLeague Times, a newspaper/forum/blog-like thing.
In fact, it's better this way. We are going to make TeamLeague Times open source-like, which means any member of the community (you) can contribute. It might be an article, an extensive game analysis, or... pretty much anything, there is a lot of space for creativity. Submit your contributions to .
I will start uploading the materials soon, so hold your breath.
Best regards,
HyperMagnus
Update - From HotDonut: I'm really busy, it's true. My grueling schedule of FICS blitz games, video games, and movie nights really doesn't leave enough time for these relaxing writing projects. I'd love to get some real work done tonight, but I'm scheduled to take a bath and space out while I watch some TV show.
A once-every-two-week newsletter doesn't work for me. The one Teamleague news project that I'm excited about probably should be run weekly, and everything else, well, let's just say that I'll get to it when I get to it. Hyper has his own schedule, as well, and neither is it based on a two-week Newsletter cycle. Lets face it, we aren't exactly professionals here. We decided to stop the "newsletter" charade, and post what we have.
Also, since this news stuff runs as a two-person show we'd love to see others contribute; the more material we can amass here, the less we'll look like clowns, and I think this setup works best for community involvement. Now if anyone has something they'd like to add, we can post right when it's ready, and justify calling ourselves "editors". So, what are you waiting for? We have your 15 minutes available right here.
